Where I found these strips was working for a company called FASTLIGHTS LED's that travels from bike show to bike show installing LED's on all types of motorcycles. I was doing sales for them, but I did do half a dozen or so installs and the strips that run under the gas tanks are within 1/4" from the heads. They've had less than 1% of their customers have issues with the lights being that close, and regardless of who the customer is their lights are guaranteed for life through them. This is nice for if someone works on your car and messes up the strip (very unlikely with as well as they are hidden) FASTLIGHTS will replace them free of charge. You could even rip the strip off and stomp on it on the ground and they'll replace it though I would call that unethical lol. Either way, they'll replace them if they go bad due to heat and the quick connects make them easy to replace without de-looming the system.
